RusCan-La Belle et Le Bete-Prologue

Rain pounded the world as Mother Nature released her fury on a small town.  Amidst a small country whose name was lost to the grip of time was a grand palace that belonged to a prince with a corrupted heart and mind.  The prince had violet-red eyes and a fiery temper.  In his palace lived with him three servants by the names of Toris, Raivis, and Eduard. He was terribly cruel to them and rumors had spread throughout the land of what he did to them.  

"Raivis" a deep voice bellowed over the thunder.  A trembling blond man stepped into the dim room.

"Y-yes M-Mr.  Ivan?" He said.  The Prince had a golden crown hanging half off his head and his cheeks were tinged a light pink from a little too much vodka.

"I spilled some vodka on my coat" he said, holding the large brown over coat out to the fearful man.  "Wash it."

"Y-yes sir" he said and took the coat. Raivis scurried out of the room and the prince was left to gorge himself on the remaining bottles of vodka.  He sat for a while more, drinking himself silly.  Near midnight a pounding sounded throughout the palace.

"Somebody get the door!" Ivan shouted, displeased by the interruption in his drinking.  A few minutes later Toris led a woman in the room.  Her eyes were a deep blue-black and her dress was a dark violet-blue.  Her hair was a very light brown, almost white, and on her head she had a stark white bow.

"Excuse me your majesty but I would like a place to stay the night, it's raining and it is dark.  I think it would be most pleasurable to stay in the Princes palace a night." She said.

Ivan eyed her with distaste. She was a bit on the fat side and her face was contorted and ugly.  Her hair was long and stringy and had a large hooked nose.  "What's that in your hand?" he demanded.  "Leave!" he barked at his servants who were in the door way.  They scurried away and he and the mystery woman were left alone.

"It's a white rose.  Rather beautiful don't you think?  I picked it up on my travels.  It symbolizes purity and innocence.  Would you like it?"  She held it up for the prince to see.  The flower looked delicate and Ivan noticed it still had the thorns on the stem.
"You're an ugly bitch, no way in hell are you staying here.  You are not pleasurable to my eyes therefore you are useless.  Do you wish to kill me bitch?  Too bad.  Get the fuck out."  Ivan growled, ad took another sip of his vodka.

"Is this how you treat others?  No.  I will not leave."  She said defiantly and looked into his eyes.  The prince growled and stood from his chair.

"Get OUT!"  He began walking towards her, taking slow deliberate steps.

"Stop" she said, and Ivan froze.  Try as he might he could not move.  He glared at the
woman, death in his eyes.

"You are an evil man, corrupted and fowl mouthed.  You are a drunken bastard who beats his subjects and takes advantage of his women. You do not deserve to live much less the feasts and fine clothes.  In no way are you a prince and in no way are you fit to rule your subjects."  Ivan watched as she began to transform from an ugly hag to a beautiful young woman.

"Witch" he hissed.

"I curse you Prince Ivan Braginski to be as ugly outside as you are on the inside."  Her eyes were dizzying to look into, a never ending spiral of darkness.  She seemed to glow with a purplish light.  Ivan cold feel himself twisting and transforming into whatever the witch had cursed him to be.

"Furthermore I give you two years, until the last petal falls off this rose, to find a true love.  When your love kisses you, with love not spite or pity, only then will you take a humane form again.  Now beast, I give this rose to keep track of time."  Her voice seemed to ring with every word.  When she finished she disappeared in a swirling mass of black mist that slowly disappeared.  As soon as he could move he fell forwards and blacked out before he could hit the floor.
